Recipe - Vegetable Burger

Ingredients

Small sized wheat burger buns
Cheese slices
Leaf lettuce
Cucumber, sliced
Tomato, sliced
Onion sliced
Jalapenos (optional)
Olives
Pickles

Hassle free preparation:

Frozen patties
Vegenaise (replacement for mayonnaise)
Ketchup
Mustard

Bake the frozen patties:

Preheat the oven at 425 degrees. Place the patties on the middle lower rack and bake both sides for 7 minutes each side (Do not thaw the patties before placing them in the oven).

Burger Preparation:

* Apply butter to buns and warm it on the pan for 10-15 seconds (inner side of the buns only)
* Take out the burgers on a plate or turn off the stove and turn the bun on the pan.

*Add the desired ingredients one after the other: cheese slice, patty, tomato slice, olive slices, cucumber, sprouts. Add lettuce at the end to avoid displacement of the burger. Top it with ketchup, mustard and vegenaise and cover it with the top layer of the bun. Use a toothpick to keep the burger in place.

* Repeat the same process for the rest of the burgers. Serve with french fries/chips/pickles or add a side dish of steamed vegetables to make it more nutritious.

Ingredients for the Patty:

4-5 French beans chopped
2 tablespoons Peas
2 Carrots, chopped
2 Potatoes (Medium size)
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1 tbsp of sunflower seeds
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
4 tbsp bread crumbs
Oil
Salt to taste

How to make the Patty:

* Pressure cook/boil beans, peas, carrots and potatoes. Mix all of the boiled ingredients with salt, black pepper and crushed sunflower seeds. Mix well and make them into small oval shaped or round balls.
*Sprinkle flour on the balls prepared out of the mixture and flatten them into a desired patty shape with your palm. Roll the patties in bread crumbs. Fry them on both slides in a pan until they are brown in color.
