Recipe - Apple or Pear or Peach Crisp


Jona Gold apples - 5-6 (for a 10 in. pie dish) - Cut length-wise with the skin.
Mix with sugar (unbleached cane sugar) and ground cinnamon so all the apples are lightly covered with it. Put into a greased 10 in. pie dish.
In another bowl mix whole wheat flour and all-purpose flour with rolled oats. Mix with hard butter (cut butter into this mixture) - enough butter so that the resulting mixture looks roughly like bread crumbs. This mixture should be laid over the apples so that it covers the apples.
Bake in a 350 oven for about 35 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
